With more than 25 years of experience across the Middle East and North America, Mohamad Jomaa has built a career around leadership, risk management, commercial strategy, and business transformation. His professional journey—from underwriting and credit management to senior executive leadership—has shaped a distinctive approach that combines analytical discipline with strategic foresight.
Currently serving as CEO – GCC and Egypt at Coface, while also holding the role of Chief Operating Officer – North America, Jomaa brings extensive experience in trade credit insurance, credit information, commercial growth, governance, and organizational performance.
From Risk Expertise to Executive Leadership
Jomaa’s career began in credit and risk-oriented roles, establishing the technical foundation for his later leadership responsibilities. His early experience included more than seven years as Credit & Collections Manager at Emirates Computers Est., followed by a role as Head of Credit & Collections at Aptec Distribution, where he worked across the MENA region.
He subsequently served as Senior Credit Risk Underwriter at Euler Hermes, covering the MENA region, strengthening his expertise in underwriting and credit risk. This progression provided him with a practical understanding of how organizations assess exposure, manage commercial risk, and make informed decisions in complex business environments.
His experience later expanded into business development and risk leadership. At Emcredit Limited, Dubai’s National Credit Bureau, he served as Director of Business Development, while at Obegi Chemicals Group, he held the position of Vice President – Risk & Legal.
These experiences broadened his perspective beyond individual risk functions toward organizational strategy, commercial development, and leadership.

Building a Career at Coface
Jomaa’s relationship with Coface has been a defining chapter of his professional career. He first joined the organization as Vice President – Bank Relations in Toronto before progressing through increasingly senior leadership positions.
As Chief Commercial Officer – Canada, he was responsible for establishing and executing the Canadian branch’s commercial strategy, with ownership of P&L and overall commercial results.
He later became CEO and Chief Agent – Canada, assuming accountability for the overall management and performance of Coface Canada, including fiscal performance, commercial activities, governance, operations, and human capital.
His leadership journey continued with his appointment as Chief Operating Officer – North America, followed by his current role as CEO – GCC and Egypt, based in Dubai.
The progression reflects a career built through increasing responsibility across commercial leadership, operations, governance, and organizational performance.
